Disneyland Resort Paris Tribune – Cast Member Magazine From 2006
I’m not really sure how I got hold of this 24th July 2006 issue of the Disneyland Resort Paris Tribune, eBay possibly? Anyway, it’s been stowed away in my Disneyland Paris treasure chest for a while and I though now would be a good time to scan and share it with all of you. From seeing more recent Cast Member magazines from Disneyland Paris (now called Backstage) I can tell you that though this one is the Francais version, these days the magazine is smaller in size and has French and English contained in one magazine.
The big feature on the cover is of the Pirates of the Caribbean themed Cast Member party, which would be perfect timing as Dead Man’s Chest came out the same month. I have no doubt that Le Coffre du Capitaine was raided for some of those costumes! With these photos you can click to make them bigger, though in the case of portrait photos they may end up being smaller, depending on your screen size. I will also put links to the original files so that you can see them up close.

The first double page spread has some great photos of the Cast Member party, and I love that there is a disclaimer that the Captain Jack Sparrow they feature is not actually Johnny Depp, in case anyone got confused.

The next couple of pages are about Team Disney and has the start of a sizable jobs sections.

Here are those jobs, lots of them. Anything take your fancy?

Here is the application form if you have a Tardis and want to go back in time to apply for one of the jobs – Bon Chance! There’s also a photo of a large number of Cast Members, whom I am guessing are the show and parade performers, given the text next to it.

Take that Batman t-shirt off young man and wear a Disney shirt instead! Interesting to see them feature a photo of the new, at the time, Captain Jack animatronic at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in America. The rumours of it being added to Disneyland Paris still run rampant 7 years later, but still no Jack in Paris.

Lots of announcements on the back cover, including two births. It really is like the local newspaper of Disneyland Paris, and must be really nice to read as a Cast Member in Disneyland Paris, and pretty interesting to us outsiders too.

I must get more of the Disneyland Paris memorabilia I have collected over the years and talk it about it right here on Dedicated to DLP. In fact I have a rather interesting artifact making it’s way to me right now, so I’ll be back with more pretty soon.
