Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: High Dynamic Range Resort

Wikipedia says that High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging is is a set of techniques used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than possible using standard digital imaging or photographic techniques. I cheated and rather than take the shots needed to create real HDR images I used an action in Photoshop on photos I took when I visited in May 2012. If I’m honest the dark borders are a bit too deep in some, but otherwise it makes for some interesting images of Disneyland Paris. Have…

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: On Cloud Nine

There is little better than a gorgeous blue sky when you visit Disneyland Paris, but sometimes the sky can look pretty amazing when it’s full of clouds. In fact clouds can add another level to the atmosphere that you don’t get on a clear day. These are just a few photos I’ve taken over the past year or two with some great looking skies. See you for the next Disneyland Paris Photo Friday.

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: Black & White with a Splash of Colour

I decided to have a bit of fun with this week’s Disneyland Paris Photo Friday, so I chose a few of my photos and turned them into black and white images, but leaving one colour set in. It takes the attention away from the obvious and has you looking at parts of the photo that you probably wouldn’t normally focus on. I even had to take the colour out of the dedicatedtodlp.com watermark so it didn’t detract from the chosen colour set on the photo. So, anyone else fancy joining in…

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: Newport Bay Club Renovations

I was all set with some completely different images for this week’s Photo Friday, but then Disneyland Paris posted some photos of the renovated Newport Bay Club rooms which took priority, starting off with the great aerial shot of the hotel. According to the official Disneyland Paris Twitter account, work on the hotel started earlier this month and is set to conclude in 2016. When in 2016 is not known, so the project could take anywhere from just over 2 years to almost 3. The bedrooms are the first thing to…

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: Inside Merlin l’Enchanteur

You’d think by now I’d know, that when in Disneyland Paris, you should always take the time to look around at everything, and not just be content with the first thing your eyes are drawn to. I hold my hands up, I’m guilty of entering the Merlin l’Enchanteur shop inside Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant and being immediately drawn to whoever is crafting magical trinkets from glass. In the photo below it would appear it was Loic, who was molding and melting when I visited two weekends ago.…

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: Christmas & Beyond with Kris Van de Sande

I’ve always been interested in photography and every now and then I take a photo that I’m really proud of. I’m lucky enough to have lots of friends in the Disneyland Paris community who take it to the next level, and produce some absolutely remarkable shots of the happiest place on Earth. This past week a few of us have discovered an amazing photographer by the name of Kris Van de Sande, and to say he takes good photos would be under-selling his ability to almost criminal levels. Kris was in…
