Hipark Serris-Val d’Europe (Near Disneyland Paris) – Studio Review

Last November I visited Disneyland Paris for the launch of the 2013 Christmas Season, and on the Friday night I stayed for the first time in a studio at Hipark Serris-Val d’Europe. I had seen quite a few people speak favourably of these apartments so wanted to give it a go – plus at £52 it was only £2 more expensive than Séjours & Affaires. I got off the train at Disneyland Paris, and then got another train to Val d’Europe. The walk to Hipark was about 20-25 minutes, which was…

Disneyland Paris Christmas 2013: Staying at Hotel New York

Before I stayed there last year, I’d never stayed in Hotel New York. In my many previous visits more often than not I stayed in Hotel Cheyenne, with a few stays in Hotel Santa Fe and a honeymoon at the Sequoia Lodge Hotel in December 2003. While I do think it could benefit from just a few more subtle Disney references, Hotel New York is nigh on the perfect place to stay when visiting Disneyland Paris. Those are strong words coming from someone who could quite happily have moved permanently to…

Massive Refurbishments Coming to Disneyland Paris

Yesterday and today there is an event going on in Disneyland Paris called What’s New What’s Next. This is a series of presentations and showcases of all the new developments planned for Disneyland Paris, from hotel overhauls to Christmas merchandise. The event was attended by a select group of invitees, one of which is our official partner magicforum, and another is long time friend of Dedicated to DLP Designing Disney. It’s their information that I’ll be using in this article. Make sure to follow them on Twitter; @magicforum and @DesigningDisney for…

Kyriad no more, we changed our booking to Hotel Santa Fe

So on Friday you’ll have read that I booked a trip to go back home, to Disneyland Paris, in May. I initially booked the Kryiad Hotel because it was cheaper than any of the on site hotels and was still only a 5 minute ride away on one of the free Disney buses. However, a weekend submerged in Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary celebrations and I started thinking about staying on site again, specifically the Hotel Santa Fe. One of the big factors is that my son is an absolutely massive Cars…

2010 DIS Forum Disneyland Paris Awards Results: Best Off Site Hotel

Best Off Site Hotel Joint WINNERS Dream Castle Hotel (22%) Kyriad Hotel (22%) Explorers Hotel (22%) 4= Hotel Elysee (11%) 4= Park & Suites (11%) 4= Magic Circus Hotel (11%) I’ve always stayed on the resort so didn’t vote in this category but I’m keen to try cheaper ways to get to Disneyland Paris, if indeed off site is a cheaper option. That said, the thought of not being a short walk from Disney Village seems a bit daunting! Any off site advice would be gratefully received.
