In the Mind of a Vinylmation Collector
As a collector of vinylmations myself I’m always interested to hear from other collectors. So let me introduce you to Danny who has kindly written an article for us about being a vinylamtion collector – take it away Danny! Let me begin with saying I love collecting stuff. Back in 2000 I bought my first pins in Disneyland Paris and bought and traded them for a year or three. Then, in 2004, I went to Walt Disney World and New York for the first time and when I came across a…

New Version of Dreams! Without Water Screens Tested in Disneyland Paris
Just a few days ago on June 6th, a new version of Dreams! was uploaded to YouTube. The big difference was no water screens, and those parts that are usually projected onto the water screens were instead shown on the Castle itself. See for yourself here: httpvh://youtu.be/Op2lxOkEMRo This test was done to have something in place for occasions when there are technical problems with the water screens, and presumably that will include days when extreme weather such as high winds affects the screens. Having watched the video, I don’t think it…

Disneyland Paris Trip Report May 2013: Staying Off Site at Séjours & Affaires Serris Val d’Europe
I have covered the driving there part of this trip report and now comes where we stayed. For the first time in 14 trips, we were going to stay off site, not in one of the Disneyland Paris resort hotels. I’d priced it all up before, but never seemed to find a price which was cheaper than staying on site. That was until I explored more than just the partner hotels, and also factored in annual passports. In the past I had heard people talk of how cheap it was to…

Disneyland Paris Trip Report May 2013: Driving There
This most recent trip to Disneyland Paris, May 26th-30th, was a last minute visit booked just a few weeks before departure. Usually we get plans sorted at least 6 months in advance, so I wasn’t quite prepared for the £500 cost of booking the Eurostar, our usual method of transportation between the UK and France. What to do now? Well, I could drive, I mean, I’ve been a passenger on a drive to Disneyland Paris, didn’t look that hard. I’ll confess, before this trip I had never driven abroad, let alone…

An Open Letter To Disneyland Paris Cast Members
Just yesterday I got back from my 14th trip to Disneyland Paris, a family stay with my wife and 5 year old. Of course I have many things to talk about (you can follow the new Dedicated to DLP Instagram account for photos – username dedicatedtodlp), from a visit that saw quite a few firsts. Before I get to that however, I need to address the Cast Members of Disneyland Paris, to include everyone who works there and has worked there. To the Cast Members of Disneyland Paris In my previous…

Disneyland Paris Pins for June 2013 – Monsters University, Princesses & Duffy
After not being very impressed with last month’s pin releases Disneyland Paris have come back with a mega month of releases, and then some! Let’s quickly whiz past the Princess pin being released on Saturday 1st and fast forward 2 weeks when no less than 9 Monsters University pins will be released and the first summer pin of 3013, featuring a dwarf whose identity I can’t be sure of – anyone out there know? I like all of the Monsters University pins, except the Duffy one. Seeing poor Sully’s likeness being…
