Is runDisney Finally Coming to Disneyland Paris?

It was in March last year that I wrote about runDisney coming to Disneyland Paris, based on this exert from a runDisney survey: runDisney is considering hosting a Half Marathon event in Paris, France in the Fall of 2014 (between late September and early November). The Disneyland® Paris Half Marathon race course would wind through both Disneyland Paris theme parks and Disney® Village, with the last 8–9 miles running through the countryside surrounding the Disneyland Paris parks. Keeping your other planned trips in mind, if this event was offered, how likely…

Disneyland Paris Launches New Digital Magazine

Some of you may have seen links floating around social media in the past week or two, but now Disneyland Paris themselves have started tweeting links so I think it’s about time we talked about Disneyland Paris News – The Company’s Digital Magazine. I and many others have been wondering about the possibility of a Disneyland Paris blog for some time now, as it is rarely featured on the US-centric Disney Parks Blog. While Disneyland Paris News isn’t strictly a blog, it could be the genesis of what will eventually become…

Disneyland Paris Halloween 2014: Sunflower Mickey Replaces Pumpkin Mickey

Just yesterday I talked in this article about how the giant pumpkin Mickey which graced the Castle Stage last year, wasn’t there for the 2014 season. Well the Halloween decorating fairies were out last night, and thanks to InsideDLParis for taking the photo, this is what we now have instead: That’s quite a different visual from last year’s pumpkin Mickey, as seen in this photo from OOPARC: Apparently space issues are the reason it has changed, and while some have challenged the place of sunflowers in Autumn, they do grow grow…

Disneyland Paris Halloween 2014: There’s A Dragon In The Bushes

You have probably realised this already, but when we talked about the bramble set on the latest episode of the podcast, the one that will be a part of Maleficent’s Court, we failed to see one very obvious thing. You see, both Mark and I pointed out that there were a bunch of villains in the artwork, but no Maleficent, which seemed odd for something called Maleficent’s Court. Now let me post that artwork again. You see it? The reason there is no Maleficent character present is because she is already…

Disneyland Paris Photo Friday: Halloween Has Arrived – Here Come The Pumpkins

As we know from last Friday, Halloween could start earlier next year, but this year it starts on October 1st. That doesn’t mean nothing happens until that first day of the Halloween season in Disneyland Paris, as mid September sees the start of the theming appear in Main Street, U.S.A. and Frontierland. All these photos come from the brilliant InsideDLParis (Facebook and Twitter) who allows me to use his images on Dedicated to DLP. This first photo had me in awe this morning when I first saw it – the blue…

Disneyland Paris Magical Memorabilia: 15th Anniversary Booklet

I’m going to guess that this booklet came out in early 2007, given that there is an advert for the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in May 2007. It’s a 12 page advert for the 15th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, which showcases what is coming up: a new parade, 2 new attractions, more characters and the introduction of kids under 7 stay and play free. Interesting that it states the celebration will last from April 2007 until March 2008, but actually ran into 2009, much like the…
