I’m finally going to ride Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Paris…I think!
In our ten trips to Disneyland Paris I have never been on any of the thrill rides, Big Thunder Mountain included. I’ve never liked these kind of rides, not from a young age and not now. However, I have been thinking about Big Thunder Mountain recently and how great it looks. When I look at rides like Space Mountain 2 or Indiana Jones I don’t ever, not even for one minute, wonder what they would be like. The mere thought of going on a ride such as those fills me with…

Disney Parks merchandise comes to Disneyland Paris
For years Disneyland Paris has had its own merchandise, separate to the merchandise that is seen in other Disney parks. Now these would seem pretty obvious for things that are branded with Disneyland Paris on them like t-shirts. However, for simple plushes of characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck it would appear that Disneyland Paris are now using the same merchandise as can be seen in other Disney parks. This certainly makes sense from an economies of scale perspective, and as you can see from the photo below from @insideDLParis,…

Disneyland Paris Photo of the Day: September 10th 2011 – Who stole Sleeping Beauty’s Castle?
When we went to Disneyland Paris in October 2006 it was our first experience of the Halloween season and we were bowled over by all the decorations, and especially Halloweenland, which is why it’s so sad to hear the rumour that Halloweenland will not be present this year. However, when we woke up on the morning of our last day there was thick fog, which meant we could stand at one end of the donkey trail at Hotel Cheyenne and not be able to see the other end. That was nothing…

What colour do you associate with Disneyland Paris?
That may sound like a strange question but as I have been looking at designs for the new Dedicated to DLP website (I have registered dedicatedtodlp.com so the website can have a proper permanent home which gives more freedom to change things) I have tended to look for blue layouts. I struck me that when I think of Disneyland Paris, I think of the colour blue. This morning I started to think about why that was, I mean pink would be understandable as it’s the colour of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and…

It triggers all the senses with the dimmed lighting, moist warm smells and hot exotic temperatures. Your sense of touch is inevitably tested as you fumble your way round dark corners, whilst…

Disneyland Paris Photo of the Day: 8th September 2011 – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
I’ve never been on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, in fact Casey Jr – Le Petit Train du Cirque is a close to a thrill ride as I get. I don’t think this photo is going to do much to persuade me to one day go on the Indiana Jones ride. I know the ride is perfectly safe, but they’ve done a fantastic job of making it look like it’s going to come crashing down at any moment. To think that this used to go backwards sends the fear…
