At 5pm GMT (6pm Disneyland Paris time) today, a 1 hour programme was broadcast live from Disneyland Paris and streamed on their website. It was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, also the host of Qui Veut Gagner des Millions?, the French version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? – thanks Google! Tomorrow, 12th April 2012, marks the 20th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris. That means the resort will have been open for a grand total of 7,305 days – that includes that extra day for leap years 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary Merchandise now available on Disney Store Website
We thought it was launching on April 1st but finally the promised Disneyland Paris merchandise is available on the Disney Store website and can be found here on the UK version. There are 19 items in the range currently available including a puzzle, mugs, stationary, caps and t-shirts & hoodies. Nothing for men yet but I’m hoping that will come in time. Kyriad no more, we changed our booking to Hotel Santa Fe
So on Friday you’ll have read that I booked a trip to go back home, to Disneyland Paris, in May. I initially booked the Kryiad Hotel because it was cheaper than any of the on site hotels and was still only a 5 minute ride away on one of the free Disney buses. However, a weekend submerged in Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary celebrations and I started thinking about staying on site again, specifically the Hotel Santa Fe. France 3, the second biggest public television channel in France, have made a special documentary called Disneyland et ses secrets (Disneyland and its secrets) available to view on YouTube. It is in French but there are lots of behind the scenes visuals about the shows, parades, costumes and characters to watch even if you can’t understand the dialogue.
