Disneyland Paris Restaurant Review: Walt’s – An American Restaurant

This was my first visit to Walt’s since 2003, and if I’m to give it its full title, then it’s Walt’s – An American Restaurant, but that’s a bit of a mouthful – pun intended. Inside it’s a work of art, and in my infinite wisdom I didn’t take any photos of the decor on show. Part of that was bad form on my part, but I also didn’t want to be taking photos while people were eating their meals in peace. Each room is themed to a particular part of…

Happy 24th Birthday Disneyland Paris – 24 Things I love

As the title may suggest, Disneyland Paris opened its doors to the public 24 years ago today, on April 12th 1992. I personally didn’t visit until 2002, but in the my 14 year love affair with Europe’s #1 tourist attraction I’ve experienced a lot of magic. In no particular order, except #1, here are 24 of the many things I love about Disneyland Paris. #24 – Pirates of the Caribbean Did you really think I could start off with anything other than the single greatest attraction in Disney Parks history? By…

Disneyland Paris Review: Swing into Spring 2016

After hearing about how good it was in the past few years, I finally made my first proper Swing into Spring visit to Disneyland Paris. I say proper, because last year I was there for the very last day of the season, but saw one Goofy’s Garden Party show and that was it! This year I was there for 3 days, and saw everything, I think. There was a plan, devised by the people I was with, which meant all shows and other forms of entertainment would be experienced, and that…

Disneyland Paris Restaurant Review: The Lucky Nugget Saloon

You may remember from my previous post about The Lucky Nugget Saloon that I’ve never even entered this building, let alone eaten there, so this was an absolute first for me…as opposed to a partial one?! Inside it’s absolutely gorgeous, and nicer than any saloon I’ve ever seen in films, which is my only reference for saloons other than the Red Garter Saloon over at Hotel Cheyenne. On the wall behind the stage is the most incredible mural of Thunder Mesa depicting a thriving community, pre-earthquake. There is a gorgeous display…

Disneyland Paris Magical Memorabilia: Last trip To Endor Pin

February 27th 2016 was the day the March 2016 pin poster for Disneyland Paris started to make waves in the community, with the inclusion of one particular item – the Last Trip To Endor pin. Star Tours was due to close on March 16th, which it did, and this pin limited to 1,000 pieces was released to commemorate that. Soon cries of I need one could be heard all over the world, including from myself. I was lucky enough to get one, and be on that Last trip To Endor, and…

Disneyland Paris Rumour: A new on site hotel coming – what should the theme be?

This latest tidbit has been broken by the folks at ED92 who today revealed plans for a new hotel, which is supposedly planned to be located opposite Hotel Santa Fe, the Cars themed hotel. The plans that are now public can be seen below: Whether it will happen and when it will happen we will just have to wait and see, but my interest lies in what theme it will have. The project is nicknamed New Wave, which makes me think of A-Ha, Simple Minds, Blondie and many other music acts…
