Disneyland Paris Pins for July 2011
Fresh off the press is the new Disneyland Paris pin releases for July 2011: Not much for my tastes there, cupcakes aren’t really my thing. Perhaps someone can explain the relevance of them – have Disney Cupcakes become the in thing lately? I quite like the Barbossa pin but only for the ship in a bottle dangling from the main part of the pin, though I’d have preferred that to have shown a photo of Jack and Gibbs, as that was a more memorable scene from the film involving a ship…

Where in Disneyland Paris would you live?
This idea for a blog post came from a chat I was having with Manda from Manda’s Disney Blog on Twitter yesterday evening. She was trying to guess my accent from my appearance as guest host on episode 3 of the DLP Newscast and I ended up saying I am from Disneyland Paris! It went on from there and I said that my ideal place to live in Disneyland Paris would be The Blue Lagoon. It’s not just because it’s close to my favourite ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, but that…

2010 DIS Forum Disneyland Paris Awards Results: Best Overall Restaurant
WINNER Walt’s (29%) 2nd Annette’s (24%) 3rd Café Mickey (17%) 4th Blue Lagoon (8%) 5th= Agrabah Cafe (4%) 5th= Auberge de Cendrillon (4%) 5th= Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon (4%) 5th= California Grill (4%) 5th= Inventions (4%) 5th= Silver Spur Steakhouse (4%) Two great restaurants were neck and neck until the end when Walt’s clung on to win. Of course my vote goes to Blue Lagoon and I am a little surprised at how it’s popularity seems to have decreased over the years, at least for these awards anyway.

2010 DIS Forum Disneyland Paris Awards Results: Best Disney Village Restaurant
WINNER Annette’s Diner (40%) 2nd Café Mickey (36%) 3rd The Steakhouse (12%) 4th Rainforest Café (8%) 5th Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon (4%) I agree with this one. We ate at Annette’s Diner twice on our last visit and the food was very testy, plentiful and served with a smile. It has a great 1950’s theme and some of the staff are even on rollerskates – I’ve never seen anyone drop anything either, yet! Below is a photo of the fantastic chicken salad that I had 2 evenings in a row…

Confirmed: Duffy the Disney Bear is coming to Disneyland Paris
So, less than 24 hours after my post about the Duffy rumour, I’ve had it confirmed by a Cast Member that Duffy is indeed coming to Disneyland Paris. He’ll arrive for Christmas 2011 and then stay for the duration of the 20th Anniversary celebrations which start in April 2012. I’m waiting to hear back on whether Duffy will be present after the 20th Anniversary celebrations have finished. As it stands right now, the poll results from yesterday where I asked Do you want Duffy at Disneyland Paris? are 61% for No…

Do we really need Duffy the Disney Bear in Disneyland Paris?
The latest rumour doing the rounds is that there is a new character coming to Disneyland Paris in Christmas 2011 and that the character is present in all the other parks already. Speculation has it that the character will be none other than Duffy the Disney Bear. This is a bear with two origins: 1) This is Mickey’s bear who he took to Walt Disney World and Tinkerbell made him come to life – remind you of a certain Disney film? 2) Duffy was created by Mickey and Minnie for Mickey…
