Latest Disneyland Paris Advert – The End of Daily Dreams! from October 2013?
The latest Disneyland Paris advert to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Extended season is out and has some rather revealing information contained inside. Watch for yourself:

There was one thing that really grabbed my attention, and you can see from this screen shot what it is:
The text over that part of the video says Daily show until the end of September 2013. There has been much speculation about the future of Dreams! and while we know it will continue past the end of September, could this indicate that it will only continue in a limited capacity? This is something we discussed on the latest episode of the podcast. This could all be just marketing and the caveat being that they do not state daily shows won’t continue after September, just that they are definitely there until the end of September.
The other side of the coin is that from October 1st Dreams! will run on a more limited schedule, and you could find yourself in Disneyland Paris with no performance of the biggest and most hyped attraction of the past 13 months. Can a park that has seen almost all other shows removed and has had its finances under scrutiny since day 1 really afford to put on a full Dreams! show every day, all year round once it’s landmark 20th Anniversary celebrations have ended? I for one hope the answer is yes, as without this incredible night time spectacular, entertainment will be a bit thin on the ground on non Dreams! days.
This next shot shows Disney Magic on Parade with the text Available until November 2013. This comes as no surprise as once the Christmas season kicks in the Christmas Cavalcade will take its place, and is performed several times a day. We know from the interview I conducted with Disneyland Paris Show Director Christophe Leclercq that their intention is to build on the Cavalcade each year, so 2013 should see some additions.
Disney’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Train, until 30th October 2013 coincides with the end of the 20th Anniversary Extended. What will become of the train afterwards – will it go back to being the Character Train as before possibly themed according to the season? Casey Jr is a very jolly train so I cam’t see him going dark for Halloween, but a few cobwebs, some obligatory orange and purple colour overlays and characters in Halloween costumes – job done!
The possibility of Dreams! not running every day after September is the obvious big news from this, but that could all turn out to be marketing speak as I mentioned earlier. However, to use the words No More Daily Dreams! does set off alarm bells and let’s hope some clarification of this is forthcoming.
