It’s Official – Big Thunder Mountain is my Favourite Ride in Disneyland Paris
It was whilst compiling a list of my 10 favourite rides/attractions in Disneyland Paris for my personal blog Steve’s Room, something that I still plan on completing, that the dilemma of which ride is number 1 came up. On pure instinct, I’d say Pirates of the Caribbean, as that’s been my favourite ride since I first visited Disneyland Paris in 2002, and in fact was the favourite of the handful of attractions I experienced during my day trip to Tokyo Disneyland the year previous. After the big refurbishment of Pirates of…

From Fear to Obsession – How Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris Changed Me
Back in November 2012 I wrote an article titled I Finally Rode Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris, in which I described the first time and only time I’d been on Big Thunder Mountain before our trip last week. Reading back and the line I distinctly remember actually smiling and dare I say, almost enjoying some of the exhilarating journey baffles me somewhat. Either that was bravado on my part or that feeling disappeared pretty fast, because that’s news to me almost 5 years on! I also said that I’d ride…

Top 10 Things To Look Forward to at Disneyland Paris this Summer
10) Big Thunder Mountain This is a maybe at the moment, as my son isn’t sure he wants to ride it. The refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain, and the necessary draining of the Rivers of the Far West has allowed us a rare look behind the scenes, or under them as the case may be. A big thank you to Richard Boakes who sent me these photos from his trip last week. This first photos focuses on Big Thunder…

I Finally Rode Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland Paris
Last weekend was my 13th visit to Disneyland Paris, and on my previous 12 visits I had not once ridden Big Thunder Mountain. In fact it’s probably fair to say that I hadn’t even contemplated it. I’m what you’d call a thrill avoider when it comes to rides – the falls in Pirates of the Caribbean and Casey Jr are enough of an adrenaline rush for me. However, many of you have said that Big Thunder Mountain is the best ride in the resort, and my wife has told me it’s…
