It was here, Disneyland Paris Half Marathon day, and after the 5k on Friday and the 10k the morning before I wasn’t feeling my best. I know that I stupidly started these races too fast but I wasn’t going to make the same mistake today. A 4:30am alarm?! Must be a runDisney race day. Getting up and motivated at this time in the morning was never going to be easy, but I just kept the thought of my second shiny medal in mind. Entering the events arena just before 6am, runners were divided into their corrals A, B or C, all leading out back on to Avenue Paul Seramy and up towards the roundabout where a stage had been set up and a DJ was waiting to entertain us for the next hour. Disneyland Paris runDisney 2017 Diary Day 1 – The runDisney 5K
RunDisney had returned to Disneyland Paris for it’s second year. Just like last year the weekend included a Health and Wellness Expo at the Disney Events Arena, 5K and half marathon races with the new addition of a 10K race and a challenge to complete both longer races. Upon arriving at Disneyland Paris I proceeded straight to collect my race bibs and t-shirts. With a similar layout to last year and not many additions, the expo still looks like a work in progress but the bib collection was smooth and efficient.…
