Disneyland Paris Photo of the Day: 8th September 2011 – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

I’ve never been on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, in fact Casey Jr – Le Petit Train du Cirque is a close to a thrill ride as I get. I don’t think this photo is going to do much to persuade me to one day go on the Indiana Jones ride. I know the ride is perfectly safe, but they’ve done a fantastic job of making it look like it’s going to come crashing down at any moment. To think that this used to go backwards sends the fear…

The Big Box of Disneyland Paris Memorabilia Part 2 – The EuroDisney Tape & The Poncho

Next from the big box is this tape called EuroDisney: Feel The Magic. As far as I can tell it’s the first music release from Disneyland Paris, or EuroDisney as it was at the time. According to EuroSouvenirland it was also available on CD. I’ve had this tape for a few years, bought from eBay, but I’ve never actually listened to it. That’s what comes from not having a tape player, which is something I plan on rectifying at Christmas, along with me yearning to have a record player once again.…

Aladdin’s Enchanted Passage is a hidden gem near the entrance to Adventureland and has always been a last day tradition for…

The Big Box of Disneyland Paris Memorabilia Part 1 – The Big Pin and Wallet

About 5 years ago I put a big box full of Disneyland Paris memorabilia in the loft and last night, for the first time since I stashed it, I brought it down to take a look. To say there was lots of things inside that I’d forgotten we ever bought would be an understatement. Aside from around 100 maps it was filled with CDs (and a cassette – remember those?), books, pins, cocktail stirrers, pens, photo frames, lenticulars, watches and much more including a gun and a key card! One of…

2010 DIS Forum Disneyland Paris Awards Results: Best Non Thrill Ride

WINNER Pirates of the Caribbean (56%) 2nd It’s A Small World (16%) 3rd Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast (12%) 4th Peter Pan’s Flight (8%) 5th= Autopia (4%) 5th= Le Carrousel de Lancelot (4%) I’d be utterly shocked if Pirates of the Caribbean didn’t win this category to be honest. One of the oldest and most loved attractions in Disney parks history, and the Paris version is the best of the lot, and the one whose story most inspired the smash hit film series. I love everything about this glorious ride, from the music…

Disneyland Paris Photo of the Day: 5th September 2011 – Princess Photolocation

This photo comes from the ever present @insideDLParis and is of the new Princess photolocation which is in place of the It’s A Small World post show experience which closed down a while ago. As the Princesses are becoming very popular it’s good to have them in a permanent place where people know they will be. It will also, hopefully be easier to control queues than at open points near the Castle as been the case previously.
