I’m going back to Disneyland Paris in 172 days!

I took the plunge and have completed step 1 on my return to Disneyland Paris – the Eurostar tickets are booked!

Eurostar to Disneyland Paris is booked

I’m concious that with the Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary happening in 2012 that Eurostar tickets are going to be snapped up quickly – in fact for the dates I wanted to go there were less than 10 tickets left for the outbound trip. This time I will be going with my wife and son, and the plan is to not tell Lucas until the morning we go which will be his 4th birthday. We’ll stay in a hotel in Ashford the night before and say that’s his birthday treat. Then the next morning we’ll go to the Eurostar station and see what he says. He’s pretty bright so he’ll probably work it out, at which point we’ll say Happy Birthday and video his reaction for the next Disneyland Paris advertising campaign!

I haven’t booked the hotel or tickets yet as I’ll see what happens with deals as we get closer to the date and I haven’t worked out exactly where we will be staying. At the moment it will probably be in the Santa Fe which is lovely inside and although the outside is in desperate need of repair I have heard this is on the cards. Lucas will adore the Cars theming and we’re only across the Rio Grande River from our beloved Cheyenne and the Fort he loves to play in.

So, under 6 months to go – I can start to get excited now can’t I?

That’s fantastic. When we are there next week we will be deciding when our 2012 trip will be. Never stayed in the Santa Fe, but after listening to your podcast I know it’s looking a bit rotten, hopefully they will have spruced it up by the time you go!

It’s a shame because although it looks a bit shabby on the outside, on the inside it looks really nice. The latest I have heard is that a big refurb is on the cards for Santa Fe – fingers crossed they get it right this time.
